Decimal Dig

Math Grades 4–5

Decimal Dig!
The whole dig site is 1. What decimal shows the part that is dug (the dark squares)?
Each column is one tenth. Each little square is one hundredth.
87 of the 100 squares are dug: 8 full columns (8 tenths) and 7 more squares (7 hundredths) = 0.87.
