About these worksheets
In Spanish, adjectives change to match the noun: el perro rojo, la manzana roja, los perros rojos. These sheets use the same words and pictures as our Spanish Make It Match game, with the English under every picture so the meaning is never in doubt. The first level is singular only; then plurals and adjectives like verde and azul that do not change for feminine; the top level asks children to write the form themselves.
All worksheets are free for home and classroom use, print on one Letter or A4 page and come with an answer key. Every set is generated from the same word and number banks as our games, so "Make a new one" gives you unlimited practice.
Tips for parents & teachers
- The article is the clue: el and los are masculine, la and las are feminine.
- Most adjectives ending in -o switch to -a for feminine. Adjectives ending in -e (grande, verde) stay the same.
- Play Masculine or Feminine? first if el and la still feel like a guess.
