About these worksheets
Number pattern worksheets ask children to work out how a row of numbers is changing and continue it. They start with skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s, then move to any step from 1 to 10 and finally to patterns that count backwards, which is where most of the thinking happens.
All worksheets are free for home and classroom use, print on one Letter or A4 page and come with an answer key. Every set is generated from the same word and number banks as our games, so "Make a new one" gives you unlimited practice.
Tips for parents & teachers
- Have your child write the "jump" between each pair of numbers above the row before filling in the blank.
- Skip counting by 5s and 10s leads straight into telling time and counting money.
- Backwards patterns are a gentle introduction to subtraction facts.
