About these coloring pages
These pages are for children who have outgrown the simple ones. Each is a whole scene with a background to color: a Triceratops herd on the plain, long-necks at a lake, pterosaurs on the cliffs, a prehistoric ocean. The lines are thinner and there is more to do, so they suit colored pencils and take a good while to finish. Every scene shows animals that really lived together, with a true fact at the bottom.
Everything here is free for home and classroom use and prints on one Letter or A4 page. Looking for more? See dinosaur activities for teachers and families.
Tips for parents & teachers
- Colored pencils or fine markers suit the thinner lines better than crayons.
- Use the fact on each page as a starting point: who is the hunter here, and who is the plant-eater?
- Good for early finishers and indoor recess: one page can fill twenty quiet minutes.
