About these coloring pages

On these pages the landscape is the star: a volcano erupting across the river, a volcano island in the sea, a waterfall with a Brachiosaurus in the pool, a red rock canyon, a snowy mountain lake, a jungle river, sea cliffs full of Pteranodons, desert dunes, a misty swamp and a forest of monkey puzzle trees. Each one has a dinosaur or prehistoric reptile that really lived in that kind of place, and a true fact at the bottom. Print as many copies as you like for home, a classroom or a party.

Everything here is free for home and classroom use and prints on one Letter or A4 page. Looking for more? See dinosaur activities for teachers and families.

Tips for parents & teachers

  • Talk about the colors of each place first: red rock, blue water, orange lava, green jungle.
  • Colored pencils are good for the bigger scenes; crayons work for younger kids.
  • Ask which place your child would most like to visit, and which dinosaur they would meet there.
  • Pair the volcano page with a baking-soda volcano for a science afternoon.
