About these worksheets

Coloring is quiet, focused fine-motor practice, and a dinosaur makes it something kids ask for. The easy pages use thick outlines and a few large shapes, so they work for preschoolers and for crayons or dot markers. The scene pages add ferns, volcanoes and more than one animal for kids who like to spend longer on a picture. Each page names the animal and adds one true fact, which makes them a simple way to start a dinosaur unit or fill ten calm minutes.

Tips for parents & teachers

  • Nobody knows exactly what colors dinosaurs were, so purple stripes are as scientific as green. Let kids choose.
  • Read the "Did you know?" fact together, then ask your child to tell it back to someone else.
  • For a classroom display, have each child color a different dinosaur and line them up from smallest to biggest.
  • Printing for toddlers? Pick the easy pages and offer chunky crayons or dot markers.
