About these coloring pages

These are the easiest coloring pages on the site. Each one has a single large dinosaur with bold outlines and very little background, so a three-year-old with a chunky crayon can finish a page and feel proud of it. The favorites are all here: T. rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and a baby dinosaur hatching from its egg. Every page has the dinosaur's name in big letters and one true fact to read aloud.

Tips for parents & teachers

  • Chunky crayons or washable markers work best for ages 3 to 5. Staying inside the lines is not the goal yet.
  • Say the dinosaur's name together and clap its beats: Tri-cer-a-tops.
  • Read the fact at the bottom out loud, then ask: what color do you think it really was? Nobody knows for sure.
  • Finished pages make a great dinosaur wall for a preschool dinosaur week.
